We left Cleveburg October 23. It’s now November 23. How did that happen? So many places, experiences, views. Old “Blue ‘Lightening“ has put on 8,000 miles! We are in Little Rock, AR. Passed the Chisholm Trail and The Sante Fe Trail as well. We aim for Nashville, TN. Tomorrow.
It’s been a feast for the eye and a feast for the mind. Lots to learn, to review. Love it. How can I be so fortunate to be on this excursion with Christine who does all the work. We commiserate about the future of the USA. Listen to podcasts. Finished another Tony Hillerman novel about Navaho policeman Jim Chee and the complexities of the lives of Native American and white man. Started an excellent book: “Emerald Mile, ” by Kevin Fedarko. Yep, the author of “A Walk in the Park.” Read it. Read both. “Mile” is about the Grand Canyon, the Colorado River, the Glen Canyon Dam, and high jinx and near disaster involving all.
